It's big enough that operating it is fairly easy and straightforward, but compact enough that it can easily fit into the back of a moderately-sized combo amp, gig bag pocket or cable bag. I would have bought M13 for 4-cable-method but I'm not wild about the digital overdrive/distortion settings on these line6 products. You have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling, which produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you. Enable solely internal uses that are reasonably aligned with consumer expectations based on your relationship with us. With over 100 effects in this little box of magic, there’s too much to cover in this little review, so unfortunately, I’ll have to gloss over some highlights.

Age (40 years or older), race, color, ancestry, national origin, citizenship, religion or creed, marital status, medical condition, physical or mental disability, sex (including gender, gender identity, gender expression, pregnancy or childbirth and related medical conditions), sexual orientation, veteran or military status, genetic information (including familial genetic information). Lots of good advice for getting your settings just right can be found online, check out "Line 6 Stombox Modeler Settings" on facebook. The Octo reverb is instant Radiohead, and adding a touch of U-Vibe and Sweep Echo makes for a tone that's almost trance-like. I'm well versed enough in electronics to not be considered a luddite, but this pedal just is not for me.You could lay down background ambient tracks using some of these sounds and people would swear there’s a keyboard/synth player in your band. If you have a bargain solid state amp, then amp models have a purpose, otherwise the M9 is the way to go. Server logs that are maintained by us or by our third-party service providers contain information about the services that you have used, and your device-specific information.

The second thing you’ll notice is that it has lots more footswitches and buttons than the M9, most notably that expression pedal on the right-hand side. If you have a MIDI foot controller, you can control many features of the M9, including directly accessing all 24 scenes (via MIDI Program Change messages), bypassing the unit, setting tap tempo, and entering Tuner mode (via Continuous Controller messages). The Line6 M9 Stompbox Modeler lets you run any three effects simultaneously with any three others on deck. It gets two stars because one mistake live can wreak havoc, shutting off the system, or just plain destroying the tone.

With the ducking delay, a concept borrowed from the famous TC Electronic 2290 studio delay, delay repeats get quieter, or “ducked,” behind fast passages and become more prominent during slower, sustained passages. We recommend that you carefully review the privacy policy of any third parties to which you provide Personal Information. Obviously, it could be used by a beginner, but its rugged build implies it’s really aimed at gigging musicians. Recently I coupled two Line 6 M9s (one for gain, one for time-based effects) into a combo amp and they worked amazingly well. Say, for example, their DL4, which exclusively had various types of delay in it, or the MM4, which just had modulation effects. You can set up multiple delays (effects) which beats bending over and setting and resetting for different songs. We may use Personal Information to communicate with you, including communicating with you about your account or transactions with us, giving you important information about your products or apps, sending you notice about material changes to this Privacy Policy, and, consistent with applicable laws and the choices available to you as described below under Your Choices regarding Marketing Correspondence, sending you offers and promotions for our products and apps. Some of the overdrives and distortions don't seem quite as convincing to me as many of the other effects. There are actually four banks of Scenes — for a total of 24 Scenes, but traditional (floor based) pedal guys will have to turn a knob to rotate through the banks to access all of the scenes (more on this just below). I used the Line 6 DL4 for about 5 years with no problem at all, although at times due to the unit having only 3 presets i would have to bend over to add modulation to a preset if i wanted it for a song, so i figured i'd give the M9 a shot sense it had more presets.

Following on from my M9 thread, I'm considering the possibility that it might be beyond repair so it might be time to replace it. Most pedalboard like, based on the demos it's not hard to set up and like the M9 it's effects rather than digital amp modelling etc . First I wanna thank Cliff and everyone at Sweetwater do a fantastic job helping me figure out what would be right for me in my particular setup.Problem is, I don't know of anything that does what the M9 can in terms of setting it up like a bunch of individual pedals, tap tempo, looper etc that isn't getting into silly money. Between that and the fact that we hate prematurely chopping off our reverb tails and delay repeats inadvertently (standard behavior for any true bypass effect device), we didn’t need this alternate configuration.
