that is rendered like one really, really talented with the old paint programs we used to use when bored with the computer (before the internet, kids). It's good to open up discussions about what they'd do in George's place and what they actually should do in George's place! To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Howlingly funny, its luridly elegant illustrations will be in frequent demand; ideal for parents and grandparents to read aloud. I got this book as part of the Chris Haughton Boxed Set:This has to be my favourite book from the whole collection of Chris Haugton picture books I've read! The high contrast illustrations make it good for very young children, while toddlers will enjoy the story and saying whether they think George will be naughty or good.

Bold, bright illustrations and a story filled with a repeated phrase – “Oh no, George” – brought so much infectious glee to our two year old. The degree to which a particular child succeeds in this transition correlates closely with this child’s readiness for the rule-following and socialization that are central to being a participant in school.

The very simple text of this book will delight young readers who can focus on the pictures to make meaning. Chris Haughton's fetchingly funny story and vibrant, retro illustrations are sure to lure dog lovers of all ages--and anyone who has ever met a temptation too good to resist. It’s our best-selling Feb half term show to date, exceeding targets and generating a huge amount of positive audience feedback.

After he behaves badly when his owner Harris is out, he tries harder on a trip to the park - but will he be able to resist temptation? It operates as a non profit and aims to connect the worlds best designers with fair trade organisations. I also blend in the good choice/bad choice teaching method that is used in my daughter’s preschool classroom. As well as then abstaining from the same temptation later as he has learned his lesson allows discussion with the child about moral choices and why it is important to be good, especially when you have said you would be.

Have read this over and over and kids feel drawn into George's naughtiness, his having to say sorry, and then . And his owner, Harry, has all the best hopes that George will be a well-behaved dog when he leaves him alone for the day.

I must say that before my little boy learnt to walk I couldn't understand how (spoiler alert) he would empathise with a dog's interest in rubbish and soil - little did I know little boys like soil and rubbish too. Being a Booktrust Best New Illustrator 2011, you'd expect Chris Haughton's artwork to be amazing - but the sophisticated rich jewel colour palette offers both adults and children something beautiful to look at. George is like a toddler who's been left alone in a room for five minutes while you try to make a cup of tea/put the washing on/brush your hair/hide and eat a biscuit. Bérénice adore la drôle de dégaine de ce chien qui n'a, comme elle, pas beaucoup de contrôle sur ses pulsions.
